Wedding Beauty Preparation Checklist

September 21, 2017

Congratulations, your engaged and it's time to start thinking about organising the wedding!

I have put together a checklist of a few things you may find helpful.

12 Months

-Decide on your wedding theme and start gathering inspiration for your wedding day look

-Start to research your hair and makeup artists at the same time as your other wedding vendors

-Talk to your beauty therapist about your skin care regime and plan your schedule of treatments

9 Months

-Book your hair and makeup trial here

-If you will be doing your own hair and makeup consider booking in some private lessons here

6 Months

-Decide on your bridesmaids hair and makeup look, that way you will be able to discuss it at your trial

3 Months

-Purchase your wedding day lingerie and don't forget the honeymoon. Have a look at the gorgeous  INTIMO Amour collection here.

1 Month

-Call your vendors to confirm appointment details such as: Date, location, arrival time and ready time

-Drink enough water to keep well hydrated

2 Weeks

-Put together a music playlist for the wedding day. It can help calm nerves on the day and create a fun vibe

-Have your final hair cut and color

-Drink enough water to keep well hydrated

1 Week

-Have all your waxing done 5 days before the wedding, especially facial waxing as it affects your makeup application

-Drink enough water to keep well hydrated

Wedding Day Eve

-Drink enough water to keep well hydrated

-Have your manicure and pedicure

-Have a relaxing massage and enjoy the lead up to TOMORROW!

-Wash your hair and blow dry it as per instructions given at your trial

-Moisturise your body and hands

-Have an early night

Wedding Day

-Eat a decent breakfast

-Go bra-less to avoid any unwanted strap marks

-Allow plenty of time to get ready and aim to have your hair and makeup completed approximately 1/2 hour before your photographer arrives or 1 hour before you are set to leave

-Moisturise your hands

-You may cry a few happy tears and to save your beautiful makeup I suggest you catch them with a folded tissue before they run down your face.

-Take your touch up kit with you to use after your ceremony if needed

-Spritz your perfume just before you get into your dress

Most importantly enjoy every moment of the day and don't sweat the small stuff, it goes by quickly and you will treasure the fact you took the time to enjoy it!
